Hypnotherapy Clinical Hypnotherapy has shown to be a very successful tool in personal problem solving. Beneficial as a therapy in it’s own right it is probably the lowest risk procedure available from the view of contraindications and side effects. Our subconscious mind retains every tiny piece of information that comes its way; every memory is stored holding the original physical and emotional reactions that occurred when it was first formed. Each time similar events occur again, the physical and emotional reactions attached to the memory are repeated. These reactions may be inappropriate or unhealthy. Some traumatic events can even be buried or suppressed in the subconscious, which is the reason we sometimes have no idea why we have an issue. Hypnotherapy can help us uncover and understand the buried information or experience that may be causing the disorder. In hypnotherapy, the trained therapist guides you to remember the event that led to the first reaction, separates the memory from the learned behaviour, and reconstruct the event with new, healthier associations.
